Becoming a medical professional is a significant investment and it is one that Monissa Solberg has completed. While she is currently a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, she spent many years developing her skills in order to be prepared for this position. Monissa Solberg completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at The University of California, Los Angeles. This was after earning her medical degree from The University of California, Los Angeles as well. Because of her work ethic and character qualities, while she was in her residency program, she was able to serve as chief resident of education. Something that she loved about attending the University of California, Los Angeles was the opportunity to gain extensive clinical knowledge in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, working with underserved populations at the Los Angeles County hospitals in the area as well as working with veterans at the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center. She was also able to develop her skills working in academic and community settings such as the UCLA Medical Center and the Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
All of these experiences have added up to the education that Monissa Solberg brings to the table in her current position and while she has done extensive research throughout her career in the field of psychiatry, she looks forward to being able to continue to grow her education which allows her to give the best possible care to her patients.
